A cake smash is where a one-year-old gets messy with a cake and a photographer captures the moment. During my career as a baby photographer, I enjoy capturing some delightfully cute scenes and wide variety of emotions of toddlers in my studio.
I usually start off with non-messy portraits, follow by bringing out the cake. Cake smash photoshoots are great messy fun and toddlers try to explore new things when they delve their hands into the cake and make a complete mess! I capture their cheeky grins, excited little faces and unexpected moments which bring a lot of beautiful memories..
I feel my creative desires changing, urging me to create wonderful images. I usually paint photography backdrops, make props and costumes to create unique portraits, turning it into an artifact of that moment in time. It is a new sensory experience to kids and it also fosters my creative growth.
